Calling them Judgemental might not be correct. They do have large pool of applicants and literally people who are able to demonstrate such kind of skills in Interview, so it becomes quite obvious, they would hire the best of the candidate.
Also, as per my personal experience, I can say that Google Recruiters, Interviewers are just awesome.
Even if you are having a bad time in Interview, they won't let you feel low. (This thing is very less found in other Organizations, where people are hell bent to make you think, you know nothing. )
